My new PC I got from Craigslist came with a 4690k stock HS but it also came with a hyper 212 evo. I installed it and kind of forgot where to plug in the mobo cords again...I read up about where to plug everything and I'm 90% confident that I did it correctly. Now the problem is that when I turn the PC on, nothing happens...I NEEDED TO USE IT FOR A JOB AND I CANT. I'm also starting to suspect that my h97-m gigabyte is dead. I did a PSu test, unplugged and plugged everything in too many times...I have a 750 watt...I replaced the cmos...what do I do?

If you're talking about the 8 pin in the top left corner I plugged it in already I also did the 24+ pin also MY PSU WORKS but my MOBO doesn't send a signal to the PSU to turn on I think that's why but idk how to fix it.

Could be your PSU or motherboard fault.Have you checked whether all the wires are connected properly on the motherboard (Startup switch,Reset)

Yes I'm 99% sure I did it correctly but I'm only talking about the startup and reset stuff. I did the positive and stuff blah blah. I was wondering if positive was the white cord instead of the color one. Could this be possible? Oh and also idk where to plug the usb plug in I just did usb 1

The end of the wires should contain +, - Symbol printed on it.

Just checked and I'm doing it right. There's the USB and HD Audio cords that I still haven't investigated whether i did them right or not. I plugged hd audio into F audio, USB in Usb 1 and Ac 97 is still hanging off because I have hd audio...unless I'm supposed to plug Ac instead of hd BUT THAT BEING THE REASON DOESNT MAKE SENSE WHY WOULD IT STOP MY MOBO FROM TURNING ON

Audio and usb cords should not stop the system from turning on.Can you check if the PSU switch if its turned on.Also did you just purchase the cpu or the entire motherboard along with the cpu??.

I got it from Craigslist so idk. What I do know is it happened right after trying to install a heatsync. I kept the backplate on and everything and installed the 212. If the CPU isn't on or functioning would that prevent it from turning on?
