Looking for recommendations on RAM for Asus Z170-A. i5-6500 is the processor I have. I know lower latency is suppose to be better but can you get to low where it can cause problems for Windows or other software? Same question on the speed, 2400, 2666 etc. I was looking at the memory list for the board and seen this *When running XMP at DDR4 3200 MHz or higher, the system’s stability depends on the CPU’s capabilities. Is there documentation on that, telling you or explaining the capabilities for each CPU? Thank you

With a 6500 max I'd prob go is 2666, even some K models need a bit of an OC to run 2800 and up, have only played with one 6500 that could run 2800 without a lot of finagling (timings/voltages)... I'd look at the GSkill Ripjaws V or TridentZ, both have OC headroom, so if you go 2666 could try them at 2800 and see if your MC is up to it ;)
I honestly don't think you will have much in the way of issues:

If you got a lower end i3 maybe but an i5 6500 will probably run DDR4 3200 with very little in the way of issues.

I have personally had the best experience with Corsair, I had a DDR2 1066MHz kit that I was able to lower the timings AND overclock to 1333MHz to match my then Q6600s 1333MHz FSB, but G.Skill and Patriot is pretty good too.
