i dont think the graphics card s the problem.something else could cause an error.my screen freezes usually in 5 - 10 mins after the start up.
pc specs:

gpu: g1 r9 380x (model gc r938xg1)
apu: a10 7850k
mb:ga-f2a88xm-d3h
ram:gskill 2133mhz 16gb
psu:cx750

i also need help on how to disable the onboard graphics

Solution
Freezes or shuts down?

If shutting down (black screen), probably has to do with your terrible PSU.

For now, do this:
1) Uninstall your graphics driver
2) Restart and enter the BIOS screen, and change the graphics setting to PEG or PCIe only
3) Reinstall the graphics drivers

Changing the BIOS setting is pointless. It's already detecting and seeing the card. The BIOS can also not see any software changes on a drive that has not yet been booted to. It's most likely a:

a) bad PSU, or
b) Driver issue, or
c) Motherboard issue, or
d) bad GPU

GPU is my first choice
Driver is my second choice
PSU is my third choice (it's not even under much load yet if crashes before gaming and apparently has worked in the past)

*Why did you rule out the graphics card when your failure starts after you putting in a new card? It would be my first guess.

1) You seem to have something against me. Leave your petty personal attacks at home

2) You seem to have completely missed the point and didn't read the original post. OP asked for help with new GPU, and for help with disabling the onboard graphics. The driver clean install is to help with the new GPU, BIOS changes to "disable" (actually just hide, it should automatically re-enable if there's no PCIe board) the onboard graphics.
