I recently got my new CPU (AMD Athlon X4 880K), installed it on the PC and the only thing that started was the fans and lights. So I swapped back to the old one and it booted with no problem so I know the motherboard didn't get damaged in the process of installing the new one.

I checked if the CPU is compatible with the motherboard , it was.
Upgraded the BIOS to the latest version and it still doesn't work.

I checked for bent pins a few times , it doesn't seem to have any.
Also when i first tried it , I didn't forget to connect the fan.

That's good, you don't know how many people forget that the x4 doesn't have igpu!

As long as you have the p2.20 bios or newer the 880k should be supported, if it doesn't work it could either be a power issue or just broken cpu

I did upgrade the BIOS to the newest version which is p2.20 .
Ill make some test to see if it is a power issue soon.

Ok so I decided to give it one more try before I take further action ,and it booted up with no problem ...
I have no clue what the issue was the first time , but its all right now , I only have to put some new thermal paste and that's it.

Could be that you put too much pressure th efirst time, AMD chips seem to be more sensitive to that
