Hi, i have a corsair CX400 — 80 PLUS http://www.corsair.com/en/builder-series-cx400
its 400w, 30 amps on 12v, i t can provide continuous 360w 12v , i have a i5 2400, 2tb seagate 3.5 hdd , two 4 gb rams, 1 12v fan and thats it, im thinking buying a used asus direct cu 7870 or r9 270x but i dont know will my psu stress to much or will it work at all or explode after a month, i can barely afford a used gpu at the moment so i cant upgrade psu, any answer is appreciated

Solution
95 CPU 180 GPU about 75 everything else.
350 Watt PC
30A 12V rail 360 watts that's not going to cut it the CX series is not a very good PSU anyhow.

Could be work fine but the R9 270 uses up to aorund 15A which is about half of the PSU output so you could use it theoretically. The recommended PSU is 500W.
