hello

i decide to buy Intel Skylake Core i7-6700K CPU , it`s the last cpu of intel and have some great futures

but when i try to compare it with some older cpu like Intel Core i7 4790K i see some strange result !

4790 is older (2014) and also about 100% cheaper , but many hardware and cpu comparing sites give 4790 better and higher Rank ! how this possible ?

Look here for example

Higher turbo clock speed 4.4 GHz vs 4.2 GHz
Better turbo clock speed 1,250 MHz vs 1,150 MHz
Higher Maximum operating temperature 74.04 °C vs 64 °C More than 15% higher Maximum
Better PassMark (Single core) score 2,530 vs 2,318 Around 10% better PassMark

also 6700 have not some extensions and futures that 4790 not have :
-F16C
-EM64T
-FMA3

i know always newer is better but these benchmarks and compare make me confused and also how could possible the older and cheaper Cpu have better Performance ???!

is Skylake better than Haswell , or it`s new and still in beta and haswell is better ?

i`m want to use my system for multi purpose ( game , 3d modeling , web design and game )

Skylake over haswell, stock clocks mean nothing for an unlocked processor, the second "fact" is referring to internal graphics speed which is silly bevaise the 6700 is better, and the other is a joke and more about 2 different systems than the cpu. Never use cpu/gpu boss to make a decision it's all based on theoretical numbers (they don't actually do any tests) and pretty much completely useless

Thanks so much for replay , the price between this two is not too much

and this is one of things that confused me , cause Skylake (2015) and Haswell (2013) is 2 years older , some company like intel must put some advantage after years past

the Bus Speed and Max Memory Size & Memory Bandwidth is much bigger and better in 6700

i think buying 6700 is better choice and spend 50$ for one time and have newer hardware

Guys just Another Question , between 6700 Vs 6700K , is there any particular difference in speed and power ?

i know the K series can be Overclocked , but i never do this till now and i always prefer to use the Standard setting and not cause too pressure ( heat and Voltage ) to my hardware

so without overclocking is still have any different between them ?
