My computer is running rather loud, which at first I did not see as a problem, but as I noticed that other computers I use were significantly quieter than my own. I'm pretty sure it is my liquid cooler that is the problem, but I'm not sure how to fully test that in itself. the cooler doesn't show up in corsair Link, and I can't seem to change the fan settings in the motherboard BIOS either. I've tried downloading speedfan but it also isn't working, fan keeps going at full speed. Mind you this isn't a cooling issue. my temperatures are fine. But, the cpu fan is blowing so hard (BIOS reading it at 2288rpm) that I'm starting to think that maybe there is a problem with something here.
Cooler is corsair H80i. Motherboard is Gigabyte Z170x gaming 3. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I had this exact issue on my H80i GT, corsair link is useless at changing fan speeds.

The fans that are included with the H80i are not PWM fans, so require direct voltage control to change speeds.

Most motherboards don't do voltage over CPU_FAN headers, only over case fan headers.

Please plug the fans into the case fan header (not CPU fan header) and try change the speed for that header in the BIOS.

Ok thank you for the response. I'm at work currently but will try this out when I get home later tonight and give an update on my problem

The SP120L fans that come with a h80i should be pwm. 4pin. I'd check to make sure the USB cable is attached and enabled in bios, some USB headers get disabled when others are used. Because of the hookup the pump will need to be installed on the cpu_fan header and run at 100% via bios and SpeedFan (if used). Aios are not plug and play like air coolers.
