Onboard LAN Driver not Installing, Onboard LAN not seen as an unknown device

I got a job in from a client to transfer their harddrive into a new computer, after which everything was fine except that the LAN driver was not installed which was to be expected since this drive was coming from another board entirely, the driver for the board (Biostar A780L3C) that I downloaded from the official website starts it's installation process then after a bit gives me a "deleting temporary files" message and closes automatically. Device manager has a network devices tab (which shows a surprising amount of wireless drivers even though the other computer did not have any means to use wireless and was always connected by wire) but no Other Devices tab, nothing shows up as an unknown device, it's like the LAN doesn't even exist.

Any ideas?

Solution
Sounds like the LAN driver installer installed it as a WLAN device, and now the PC thinks it's a WLAN device.

Perhaps uninstall those, and then search for the appropriate Hardware vendor ID for the ethernet, then manually download the drivers for it?
