My computer shut off last night while playing Overwatch, now all the components seem to be working, but it's not displaying.

Intro: As the title suggests last night I was playing Overwatch for a couple of hours and suddenly in a competitive match my computer blinks off. The LED on the front panel of the tower is blinking as if it went into power saver mode, however my peripherals are still receiving LED power. I try clicking the power button to pull it out of power saver mode and nothing happens. I try a few more times with no avail.
I unplug the system and let it sit for a bit thinking it may just have overheated (I have a temp gauge in-game and I don't remember it getting too hot, but my room was pretty toasty so it's a possibility).

After letting it sit for a bit I plug the computer back in and press the power button, the LED blink and fans turn for a split second, but the computer does not turn on. I try this a few more times, with me having to turn the PSU switch on and off for the blink and fan turn to happen again (otherwise nothing happens on subsequent power button clicks). I go to bed and here I am now.

***My Setup***

* MSI 970A-G46

* AMD FX8350

* Radeon HIS-ICEQ 7870

* 8GB of Mushkin Red RAM

* Cooler Master 750W 80+ Bronze PSU

* Windows 10

* SSD and HDD

* This was all purchased through NewEgg and MicroCenter and built by myself in 2013. It has been working with no issues until just now.

**What I've Tried So Far**

So this morning I get up and it's still doing the same thing as last night, so I do some searching and the forums look like it might be PSU issue. I remove the PSU from the case and unplug everything and use the Paper Clip trick to see if the power supply is still working. The PSU fan blips on and runs fine. I unplug my ram, fans, disk drives, and peripherals, then reconnect power to the MB, CPU, and GPU (with the PSU outside of my case) to see if maybe the PSU just wasn't supplying enough power to run the whole system. The computer starts up fine and all the fans are whirring as normal, however the BIOS does not display on my system.

With this I assume that maybe the issue isn't with the PSU and plug back in my RAM, hard drives, and peripherals one at a time and boot each time. Everything powers on just fine and appears to be working, however still no display to the screen. I tried using two different monitors (one with HDMI and one with DVI) so this issue isn't with the monitor or the port, so they both state they are not receiving input from the PC. Lastly, I do some more googling and some threads say no display means the GPU died, but a lot of those posts made it seem like the GPU had a slow descent into not working (not just working one second and then shutting down the whole system the next like in my case)

I also presume the system was booting to BIOS because my keyboard is one of those programmable RGB keyboards and it was turning on and cycling through the default settings instead of my preselected ones.

Oh and one other thing, the GPU fan spins when the system is on, so I don't believe the issue is with the PCI-E. I tried plugging the power into the GPU outside of the system and nothing happened (which I'm assuming is what is supposed to happen?).

**Where I'm at Now**

My motherboard does not have on-board graphics so I can't check bios. My roommate is at work, so I'm waiting for him to give me the okay to swap in his GPU into my system to check to see if that will make it display. I was hoping you guys could share some input on what could be wrong. Essentially I'm pretty sure either the PSU, GPU, MB, or CPU is dead but I have no idea which and would rather not have to buy a new copy of each one just to diagnose the issue.

*UPDATE* The problem isn't with the GPU, switched it out with my roomate's which is still functional and it's still not displaying.

I'll be here to give anymore info.

**Thanks!**

I had the same problem with my old PC that I made in like 2009. Because I had it for a long time not using it well because I felt like making a new one. Then one day I just felt like putting it on again and that same thing came up. I tried everything new CPU GPU and ram and didn't work. The only thing I can tell you is maybe your PSU is doing somthing or maybe it's your GPU. I were you I will bring it to a PC shop if you can't find the problem.
