APC 1KVa ups

I have APC 1 kva ups double battery. Its giving me 30 minutes of battery backup. but while i only running my router its automatically shout down within 5 minutes. My router is iball baton and its power input is 100-240v, 50hz, 0.3A and output is 5V-1A. What is happening with the ups.
Please help.....

According to documentation this model came with a specific USB cable that plugs into a jack that looks like an ethernet jack on the top right of the back of the unit. You need to plug this in and connect it to your PC and then run the Powerchute pro (which came with it) software. When you do that you can configure it to not shut off with no load.

Also check out page 4 of the manual, it looks like the unit has a power saving feature you may have this turned on which may be causing your issue as well. It looks like you can change this without plugging the unit in.

Its new. And for the battery I already told that i am getting 30 min backup with my desktop connected to it. But If i only connect the router ups automatically shut down within 5 minits.

If its a new unit then this is very likely the answer. If you provide us with the exact model number we can probably confirm it.
