My CPU temps are too high?

Hi guys quick question, Just installed CAM software and both it and HardwareMonitor are telling me that my cpu temps are like 70c-90c. But when I checked my temps in the BIOS and AMD OverDrive it told me my CPU temps were 40c-60c, Really confused, Am I getting false readings from CAM/HardwareMonitor or? PS: My CPU is an AMD Athlon x4 860k at stock speed with stock cooler (Only have it a few months now) Fan is spinning and I checked to see if the Cooler was mounted properly, I'm also getting no bluescreens while gaming or any signs of CPU overheating) Thanks.

That's a nice one too, you won't be disappointed with neither. ^^

You probably check the CAM results while gaming and the BIOS with PC with low cpu activity, that's maybe why the big difference.
Overall, beyond 80º₢ is exceeding the temp limit. So i'd check the cooler, if it's working properly w/o dust. Maybe where you live is hot and the cooler isn't holding on it's own.

Do you have just the stock cooler? None in the back of the PC?

If that's the case, i think would be nice to consider getting a water cooler to prevent damage to the CPU.

Nah these temps were recorded at idle because I know temps jump while gaming, Also I live in Ireland so hot for us is like 20c, Ive got 2 intake fans in the front not sure what size, and one exhaust in the back same same size as the front, If your wondering about case ventilation ive got a CiT Spectre White Case

While idle? I belive that the CAM is broken, lol.
I had that program, couldn't use for more than a day, too laggy. They have to optimize it first...

I'd go with Monitor-Z (HWMonitor) if it shows the same temps as the BIOS then you're good to go. It problably was just a CAM's bug.

Thats the thing, I checked with HW monitor and it showed me the same results as CAM, where as BIOS and AMD overdrive gave me stable temps of like 40c I dunno man might just fork out some cash for an aftermarket cooler, Do you know any coolers that fit FM2+ and 1150? I was going to upgrade to an Intel i5-4690 soonish, Dont wanna buy a new cooler for that one too haha

Oh, sorry didn't see that. Well, dunno, lol.

You can get this one if you want a traditional/efficient cooler:
http://pcpartpicker.com/product/hmtCmG/cooler-master-cpu-cooler-rr212e20pkr2

It'll fit both CPU, both AMD and Intel

Think that might be a bit too tall for my case but thanks for the suggestion, Led me to find the Cryorig H7, Might try that one, Not too pricey either
