So guys i was just wondering where the cpu lies in the hp oemn 2016, because my keyboard gets hot around the numpad area during gaming sessions, and my cpu gets really hot, like sometimes it hits 92 degrees even with a cooler, so i was just wondering is that the cpu that is heating up my keyboard or is it the battery?
And can someone also help with this issue im aslo using a thermal take v20 laptop cooler it delivers around 70 cfm so it should be quite good.

One way to find out is to use a hardware monitoring tool like real temp or hwmonitor. These will monitor the temps of the internal components like the cpu. As for the battery, you can look at the wattage used in hwmonitor. If it is above what the charger can give then you will know its the battery.

I did check the temps with real temp and it said that my 4 cores were reaching 90 while playing dota2, but in other games it just reaches 79 degrees maximum

I just bought my laptop like 3 weeks ago :( , is it possible it already accumulated this much dust inside?
Plus i have been taking care of it a lot since i bought it, never used it on bed, just on my desk and after 1 week of buying it, i got a cooler and put it underneath it. I'm just really frustrated i don't know what to do

I have the same laptop and i have to tell you that i had the same problems. On idle, the laptop is cool (about 33-40c) but given the location of cpu, when im gaming, it overheats and i experience thermal throttling ( temps are about 80-93c on cpu, but gpu stays cool on 70c temp range).
I found the solution, all you need is to open the laptop, remove the heatsink and polish the copper surface with sandpaper and some polish paste on final polishing. For thermal paste i used liquid metal (thermal grizzly conductonaut) and i highly recommend it, but given the conductivity of liquid metal paste, you will need to cover the cpu and gpu components around with electric tape (best is 3M scotch 33+, for best performance). Here is video for applying liquid metal... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ZWTuRdtbJ4 ...
After that i managed to achieve temps like 60-70c on CPU and 65-70 on GPU side.
Hope it helps
