G.SKILL RipjawsX F3-2133C11D-16GXL 16GB 2X8GB DDR3-2133 CL11 240PIN 1.5V Dual Channel is the new ram, motherboard is Asus Z97-A, CPU i7 4790k @ 4 ghz. GTX 970. Old RAM was 2x4 GB of I don't know what at something like 1333mhz. I reset the CMOS by taking out the battery for 5 minutes along with clearing the RTC RAM. I have tried using the old ram and the new ram before and after resetting the CMOS and the RTC. I have no idea what to do next. I am able to get some sort of quick double beep but I'm not sure if that's a boot or not. GPU fan whirs for one to two seconds before turning off, and the light remains on as long as the computer is plugged in.
No input to monitor after new RAM installed, old RAM doesn't work now either

Try pulling all DRAM, unplug and reset CMOS, then install new DRAM and make sure it's fully seated

If no joy with thet, check all the wired connections to ensure all are plugged in and tight - check GPU is fully seated
