I ended up breaking one of my VisionTek's r9 270x fan (it had 2) so um and it gets pretty warm (60-65c under full load)
It was at 50c or something with 2 fans working.

So, it has a 4 pin connector on the PBC and the 2 fans are combined into 1 wire, so it's 4pin and it connects. bravo.

So um if I were to replace the fan, I have to replace both, right? They are um like combined together into 1 single wire

The question is um, can I buy 2 of these fans:

and plug 1 into 2 pins and the other into the 2 remaining pins? is that how it works or what or am I completely stupid

help me out \ (•◡•) / thanks people and/or aliens

Solution
The 4pin fan header's pinout is thus: PIN 1: Ground PIN 2: 12V Supply PIN 3: Sense (fan speed sense signal) PIN 4: PWM

You need to use a 4pin fan. The GPU board does not allow voltage control, so any non-4pin fan will run at 100% all the time.

That said, you can use a simple 4pin splitter to connect both the old and new fan.
