Is my PC worth upgrading or would it be better to build a new one. This build was from 2013 and would like to get better improvement all around. Most new games run on low and if that fps is low. Experience with open world games have been the most demanding ( Like GTA, Fallout) Please let me know what component or components would help with better performace for upgrading, i'm looking into a new graphics card. 1070 possibly. Would like opinions and to spend around 400.00 or less to greatly enhance if possible. Here our my specs below. Thank you.

These three parts would be a good option. Of course assuming that the RAM is the same thing that you have currently.

The CPU is fine, the power supply is most likely fine along with the motherboard. The hard drive, graphics card, and ram are not. I would recommend getting another two sticks of that exact same G.Skill memory, upgrading the graphics card to either a 970, RX 480 or GTX 1060 and getting an SSD.

That would be $37.88 for the memory, give yourself a budget of 250 for the graphics card and get the best available for around that price, and then use the remaining on a 256GB SSD.

it's a dead end really, most you can do is overclock the cpu at least to 4.5ghz

and get a gtx 1060

a gtx 1070 is beyond the capability of this current setup to handle properly

also since its been a couple of years, replace that low quality power supply they die early dont tempt fate

you want a gtx 1070 you need to switch to an intel setup

You shouldn't have to overclock your CPU for an RX 480, though you might want to consider pushing it a little with a GTX 1060. The 8320 should hold its own with either of the two cards and you'd maybe have a one fps difference between an better CPU and your current with a 1060 (excluding CPU bound games).
