Hello, I recently finished building my PC and I've been having an issue with audio when my PC wakes from sleep mode, that is there is no audio being played when there should be. This problem only occurs after wake from sleep.

Here is current setup:

My monitor is: LG 29UM68-P

Currently my PC is hooked up via HDMI to my monitor I plan to switch to DisplayPort soon.

Things I've tried

Disconnecting and reconnecting the HDMI cable
Turning off and on my monitor
Switching to a different audio playback device and back to the monitor in the audio taskbar
Updating drivers (To my knowledge all drivers are up to date, including the HDMI audio driver)

Extra Information that may be relevant
The HDMI cable is connected to the RX 480 so audio is coming from the GPU not on board audio (I Think)

Please help me figure out the issue. Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
Thanks

UPDATE and FIX

It seems the problem is caused by drivers which as of this writing has not been fixed by AMD. To resolve audio issue you can try
1) restart the PC.
2) go into device manager > Sound, video and game controllers > AMD High Definition Audio Device > Disable... wait a few moments > Enable.
3. Use On-Board Audio

Thanks for the link I read a few pages of that, so am I correct in thinking that it will work just fine if I use on board audio?
