So I've assembled this build after some research and stuff, plus I'm on a keep-it-lowest type of budget but with needed performance met.

CPU - Intel i5 6600k
GPU - MSI Rx480 4gb
MoBo - MSI Z170a SLI Plus LGA
Memory - G.Skill Ripjaws V Series 16(8x2)gb DDR4 3000
Cooler - Corsair Hydro Series H60

Calling out all the techies and nerds, what do you think?
Fanboys please go find some other bush!

Solution
Well - there nothing terribly wrong ...
I'd go for the RX 480 8GB or (actually would prefer) GTX 1060 6GB.
if you are on the budget, get decent air cooler like CM 212 EVO instead of this crappy AiO kit and use spared money to do the above.
Also, you have not mentioned your PSU - usually where people tend to go wrong.

- Why 1060 over Rx480?
- CM 212 EVO vs Cryorig H7? (there seems to be a lot of CM 212 EVOs on Newegg, I'm
confused)
- PSU is a 650W Corsair VS650

Notes: Since I'm looking at a good investment which will go a long way, I heard the Rx480 perfoms better on DX12 rather than DX11 on which the 1060 performs better. Hence I chose the Rx480.

Also, is a fan better than a liquid cooler?

Its not that aircooler is better than a liquid cooler.Technically liquid coolers are still using fins and fans. Its the issue of the product.

The h50 is a budget cooler that uses not so good components .

Its better to have a aircooler at this price range

Secondly, with regards to the quality of the cooler,if a aircooler spoils the max you can get is an out of control fan ripping through th whole system. If a water cooler goes down, you get water on live components. Not to mention a fan spoil will only cripple a air cooler, but kill water cooler

well... there is only certain feature in DX 12 that favors AMD and it's present in one game.
Other DX12 titles like Raise of Tomb Rider is actually perform better on GTX 1060.
CM 212 will do the job - it's also cheapest decent cooler.
I'd upgrade the PSU as the VS is very basic series not suited for gaming/overclocking PCs.

With Dx12 it depends if it's Vulcan or OpenGl
Generally the rx480 performs as good as the 1060 in dx12, a bit worse in dx11 except for games that were specifically developed in cooperation with AMD.
By the time Dx12 will be the standard for games both cards will possibly be outdated.
However for the same price I'd go with a 1060, if the Rx480 is cheaper, it's a sound investment as well

The CM212 is a bit over hyped imo. It's the best budget cooler. But it's big, not easy to mount and is by no means a high-end cooler (as some claim)
I prefer the H7 as it is a bit smaller and doesn't conflict with RAM. But if course if every penny counts the 212 Evo is a good investment as it usually is a bit cheaper.

Don't get a VS 650.
It's not a good unit and heavily overpriced.
You can usually get a Seasonic or XFX unit (stay away from the XT though) for the same price which are of much higher quality.

Okay, I'll change the PSU

But again, isn't the 1060 a bit more expensive than the rx480? And in the long run?

I think I'll go with the CM 212 Evo. But wait, does it interfere with the RAM?
