Guys I know that 6700k is more or less better than 4790k

Problem is, I'm considering a 6700k upgrade, it will be more future proof but the thing is it will be $150 more expensive than the 4790k upgrade that I originally planned

My original plan is I will salvage my ddr3 1600 ram and then I will buy a used 4790k for $250 and then get a brandnew z97 motherboard

but do you think the upgrade from 4460 to 4790k worth it over 6700k? (6700k upgrade is $145 more expensive)

I got 1080p 60hz monitor and rx 480, What are your suggestions? should I push through the 4790k or 6700k?

i7 4790k or i5 6600k upgrade is $385
i7 6700k upgrade is $530

P.S.

Guys can you also check this link below?
http://www.babeltechreviews.com/devils-canyon-i7-4790k-vs-skylake-i7-6700k-part-ii-gtx-1080/3/
the review shows that 4790K is much better than 6700k when using GTX1080

The other reviews that I watched from youtube always shows that 6700k is better than 4790k (most of the videos shows that they are using 980Ti or the maxwell titan X)

but the review from the link that I included above is not using a maxwell architecture but the latest pascal architecture

Here's another link that will show 4790k and 6700k both using the RX 480

Sorry if this is too long, I'm just confused. I hope a computer hardware geek can give me some insights

why would you upgrade at all ?
Since you have 60Hz monitor (read 60FPS), both your GPU and CPU (4460) can do more than 60 in every game where it matters.
I wouldn't touch it at all.
You can get more ram (if you have less than 16GB)? you can get good PSU (if you don't have one), you can get awesome case.
Just don't change the internals - your system is kinda balanced.
Upgrade in a couple of years.
