Hello everyone,
I recently opened my laptop(Asus K55A) to clean it up using compressed air can. After doing and putting the laptop back together I am booting it up and I see the screen that say ASUS with the logo and then it shuts down on its own. A few times I have been able to get glimpse of the BIOS, but it only shows for about 0,5 seconds and shuts down.
Originally I thought the issue is with the ventilator, so I re-plugged everything, cleaned all of the dust again, changed the thermal paste on the CPU. The ventilator does not start everytime for some reason, I don't know if that is normal, but most of the time it starts with no issues it seems, but still the issue of the computer shutting down persists.
Tried booting without HDD, RAM with and without the battery and only charger and the issue persists.
One thing to note when using the compressed air can I accidentally did tilt it and some water/ vapour whatever you call it did came out, which evaporated fairly quickly, so did not think much of it, but possibly might of caused issues on the motherboard.
So at this point I am probably going to try doing a CMOS reset in case maybe I damaged the battery or something like that.
At this point I am running out of ideas, possibly I damaged the PSU, but I doubt since I was spraying near it as far as I could tell. So my best guess would be that screwed up the motherboard somehow.
Any further advice on what might be the issue and how to test it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
