I have a dual boot XP/7 system. I swapped my video card (both are made by ati). Everything in 7 is fine But now when I try to boot XP it will go to a blank screen and power save mode. This will happen a different points in the booting sequence each time. Sometimes it will start installing new drivers and others i blanks out after the welcome screen.

I cannot get into safe mode to remove and update the old XP drivers because I get a BSOD. Here is the error I get:

STOP 0x00000000A (0xF79AE354, 0x000000FF, 0x00000001, 0x804E5589)

I gave the old video card to a friend and thought of asking for it back for a bit just to get into XP uninstall etc.. Are there any other solutions? Or a way to update the drivers for XP from within 7? I tried running Autoruns but it crashes anytime I try to pull in the data for the offline OS.

Thanks!!

I fixed this by putting in an old video card I had here (not the one I gave to my friend) and booting in XP that way. Then I downloaded the new card's drivers and installed.
