Is everything in this build compatible with each other?

I am planning (didn't buy anything yet) to build a gaming system from scratch, but I've never actually build a PC before, the most complicated thing I've ever done is installing a GT 430 into my 5 years old retail PC so I'm quite nervous, thought I'd be better off if I had just ask here. So on to the main topic, I'm trying to have a mid-high line gaming system while on a reasonable budget, so I figured out to just splurge on the CPU and GPU, the rest are recommended budget goods that is available on Vietnamese market, feel free to suggest some more stuff.
Goal:Everything ultra in 1080p@60fps.

Motherboard: Gigabyte Z170X-Gaming 3 (Not sure about this one)
CPU: Intel i5 6600k (Linus recommended, splurging on this one just in case )
Aftermarket Cooler : CM Hyper D92 (Budget and on the market, no other choices really)
Ram: DDR4 Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GBx2 (Damn it's cheap af)
GPU: GTX 1070 G1 Gaming (Future-proofing)
Case: Corsair SPEC-01 Mid-tower Case (Best I can find, not fond of CM case)
PSU: Andyson Titanium N700W (Literally the only quality one I could find, other than T4 CM and Corsair stuff)
Monitor: AOC G2460VQ6 ( Just stumbled upon this one)
Storage: Not so sure, still contemplating between a SUV400S37/240G and a WD1003FZEX (Basically 240GB SSD vs 1TB HHD)

Will everything fit comfortably and snuggly in the case? And can I light overclock it without everything melting apart? Please let me know, thanks.

the parts are technically compatible. though i'd call it not really balanced.
the gtx 1070 is a complete overkill for this build.
I'd get the i7-6700K , better PSU and GTX 1060 6GB instead.
Also would choose Asus Z170-A or Z170 Pro Gaming MB over this one.
The above changes would make your build more "future proof" than 1070
Let me know where you live and what is you budget if you need help selecting best parts for your money.

I live in Vietnam, budget estimated to be 1k7 USD or about 39 mil VND. Very limited hardware market here.
The Z170A was sold out 5 hours ago and the other one are not available, there is like 7 z170 type motherboard on the whole market.
I heard that the 1060 performs comparable to the 980 so I dont really see the point of that.
I just choose based on recommendations by the community and rumours and such so I don't really have a clear idea how to do this.
The i7 6700 cost quite a lot more for my liking, and I dont think CPU has as much as the impact as the GPU.
I spent all night looking for a better PSU than the T4 CM and Cosair crap that came out in 2013 and the occasional nameless brands, that is as close as I can get for a decent PSU, in Vietnam anyway.
Thanks for the input, I'll look into the 1060 and see if it's worth it.

sorry to hear that you have such bad parts choice, and i'd not be able to look for the parts on Vietnam sites.
regarding the GPU:
yes, GTX 1060 is about the same as GTX 980. But you picked the 1080p@75 monitor. that means that anything over 75FPS is not important as your monitor would not be able to display it. GTX 1060 does those 75FPS and more on max settings in every game where FPS matters. so while 1070 will do more FPS, there is no practical difference with you monitor to have 100 or 150FPS.
Regarding CPU:
Every frame going to GPU, have to be processed by CPU first. So i5 and i7 will deffer in theoretical max FPS.
for example, in some games using 1080p resolution, i5 will be able to keep the 1070 at 70-80% load. while i7 will be able to load the 1070 at 100%.

I see, maybe I'll get the 1060, but the 6k7k is not available here, only the vanilla i7 6700, should I still get it?
Also you mentioned about mediocre mb choice, I found a few in my price range to list:
-z170x gaming 5
-z170a gaming m5
-z170x ud3
-z170x gaming 3
-z170m d3h
-z170 p
-z170 p d3
-z170 d3h
Can you recommend one for me? The first 2 is pretty expensive so I'll have to downgrade to 1060 in order to offset the cost, also, do you prefer 240GB SSD over 1TB HDD? I'm still pretty torn on options here.

Without K in the CPU, the MB does not matter as the CPU is not overclockable.
First 3 MB have decent power delivery. the rest is not different from what you selected initially.
Can you use amazon or something similar to order 6700K ? (i ordered mine from US few years back).
Or can you check with store about availability? may be they have shipment coming soon.
For my needs, i use 240GB ssd and 1TB hdd.

The provider are not going to stock up anytime soon, just as Intel is not going to ship to Vietnam ever. So I guess the i7 6700k is off the chart for me yeah?
I think I'll drop to the 1060 and rely on overclock to get me through fallout 5.
I can use only one of the two storage option and I don't know which to pick. This sucks. And I still have to figure out which mainboard to choose for best OC performance. Guess they gave me Sunday for a reason.

Any of the first 3 MB will be good choice.
get the i5-6600K it is very nice match to GTX 1060 (you can sell the i5 later and get i7 when you need it :) )
The SSD is awesome, but think if you can fit your staff into 240GB.
It is OS + few games only as resent games tend to be 40-80GB

Thanks for your comments and advices, I think the budget got a lot better, maybe the spare money can be used to upgrade my peripherals later on. Thanks. Well, in the end this turned out to be a mid-tier budget value build.

One more question, is G-sync worth it? Do I still need it when I have V-sync enabled?

well, it is not budget at all.
It's a solid build.
IMHO, G-Sync is not worth the money. I use Fast Sync - it is way better than V-Sync or anything else.
Just enable it in Nvida control panel globally and disable V-Sync/Triple buffer in games when you get the GTX 1060. (Fast Sync is only available on GTX 10x0 cards).

Oh so there's Fast sync, didn't know that. So rather than getting another G-sync monitor, I'll just have to activate the feature that come with the card. That's convenient. Thanks.
