I'm new to PC gaming and have never personally owned a desktop PC at all. I've wanted to get into PC gaming, but don't know how to build my own. A good friend of mine that I've known for many years is offering me a deal. He said he would sell me an Asus G20AJ-US009S Intel Core i7-4790 3.6GHz 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD + 8GB SSD DVD±RW Windows 8.1 Desktop PC for $400. And he said he would throw in a mouse and keyboard for an extra $200. The keyboard is a SteelSeries Merc and he thinks the mouse is some sort of Alienware. The only problems is that he said the space bar is a little figgity but everything is fine. I'm just trying to get other peoples' opinions on this deal. I plan to use the PC for mostly gaming (Mostly modded RPG sandbox games) and maybe a little streaming/drawing/schoolwork. If I wouldn't get this, I would have a budget of $700 for the internals of another PC and $100 for mouse, keyboard, moniter, etc. My concern is that the PC is too dated for modern games. Thanks for the feedback.

Its a decent system for 400, but its not upgradeable. The 760 will be a limiting factor for new games, but it would hold its own far better than a 400 dollar build would.
200 bucks for a half working set of peripherals is a joke, that portion is a rip off.
