Should i upgrade CPU

I currently have a AMD fx 6300 and im thinking of getting a i3 6100 and getting a gtx 960 video card do you think i should get both of those or just upgrade my video card and keep my amd fx 6300

An i3 6100 is a nice upgrade, but an i5 6500 would probably be ideal. If you can afford both, a GTX 1060 or RX480 and i5 would give you a solid all-around boost.
