Hi there PC enthusiasts, I have a question to ask. I got a semi-gaming rig with a GPU that needs to be replaced and I was thinking of going with the Gigabyte GTX 960 2GB GDDR5 since the 4GB version is out of stock. The budget is around 200 EUR and the reason I'm making this upgrade is to play Mass Effect Andromeda at least on med to high settings on 1280*1024 resolution. My PC specs are:

CPU: AMD FX 6300 3.5GHz, turbo activated on 4.1GHz with Cooler Master HyperX TX3 Evo
MB: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P AM3+ DDR3 2000MHz SATA3 USB3.0 Ultra Durable 4
RAM: 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
HDD: 1TB Toshiba SATA3 7200 rpm
PSU: 500W Real Power DeepCool Modular

If this GPU is not ideal for this setup, I'd appreciate any suggestions on what to actually buy. Thanks for all the help.

Solution
The GTX 960 will work nicely with your setup, but it has been surpassed by both AMD's RX 470 4GB and Nvidia's GTX 1060 3GB. Not sure what the prices are in your country, but both can be had for $200 US, which is less than 200 EUR.

Thanks for the quick reply and suggestion. Here's a link of the shop from where I plan on buying a card http://www.anhoch.com/category/374/graphic-cards. Sadly, they only have the 6GB version of GTX 1060, which is over 300 euros, otherwise I would've bought the 3GB if it was available here. And what do you think, will I need the extra 1-2GB of VRAM on 1280*1024 resolution or it won't make that much difference?

I'm totally fine with AMD as long as it won't bottleneck my CPU. I've been watching benchmark videos yesterday and noticed that the RX 470 will have an impact on the overall gameplay. As I said earlier, I'm running it with Turbo activated @ 4.1GHz so, should I be worried about that?

RX 480 would be an overkill for my CPU, huge bottlenecks unless I cover that up by overclocking it to at least 4.2 GHz. I may go with the RX 470 or wait for the GTX 1050 but, as I said, I'm worried about the bottleneck.

Found GTX 960 4GB in a different shop, should I get that or change the CPU to Intel and get RX 470 later to avoid any bottlenecks? Thanks for all the help guys, much appreciated!
