You can get even better if you go used. Sandy with a gpu upgrade does wonders on 1080p.

You won't be able to overclock to it's full potential with that motherboard, so if you might want a better motherboard if you want to overclock.

I would get neither the fx 4300 or the g3258, but instead opt for something like the x4 860k. This is because many aaa titles require a quad core, and the g3258 is of course a dual core. The x4 860k is better value than the 4300, and you get more flexibility in terms of motherboard choice.

this should be a very solid 720p gamer. and it can upgrade to Kaby Lake and up to a gtx 1070 without changing the PSU for up to 1440p gaming
