Rust Lag Spikes

Hey everyone. So when i play rust i get lag spikes like every ten seconds and when i am fighting someone or in a town it freezes and unfreezes every 10 seconds. I have like 70 fps and then it goes from 70 to 5 and goes back up again.

If you have any suggestions on what i could do, i would really appreciate you replying, Thank.

What are your specs?
Also, lag is when your ping is too high and Fps spikes are what you're experiencing.

My guess from your specs is that it would your cpu, but the recommended specs for rust are not too clear. Watch your cpu usage with task manager and see how much it is being used. Check how much ram you have free. The last thing it could be is that you're running out of vram. Check your vram usage with GPU-z in the senors tab Memory usage (dedicated) https://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/. Also, you could lower the graphics settings too. I would also recommend a cpu upgrade too as the A8-6600k is a pretty poor CPU.
