Is it worth to upgrade from 4770k ?

Before you respond, keep on mind this. I have 2x8gb ddr3, gtx1070 and 4770k on g45 z87. I'm SATISFIED with performance in 1080p on my 32" TV.

Then why I'm asking this ? Because in 5 months from now my motherboard and cpu are going out of warranty. They are almost 3 years old. I'm wondering is it worth to sell this if I can for like 200-250$ and grab some new i7 ? On a long term.. I have EVO212 on this i7 4770k, not sure should I worry then or this cpu will most likely end "gaming life" along with 1070 when this gpu start choking in couple years ?

Nope. No reason to upgrade yet as far as gaming is concerned. The Core i7 4770K can handle SLI GTX 1080's without bottlenecking them. I know this because I've tried it myself. The only way you'll need to upgrade anytime soon is if 6+ cores start to become the norm and we are years away from that happening. The Quad core CPU will likely be king for gaming through 2020 due to higher clock speeds than the 6 core parts.

Make sense. My job doesn't allow me regular high budget, so it's pretty much MAYBE now or never. Same for cpu and gpu. Thanks, that makes me feel better since I was hoping that it's not worth at all.

That was my thinking but yet again I needed confirmation. A lot of people started talking to me that 4790k is even solid boost in performance while I experienced on my own both cpus. Well, I decided, no money toward new cpu despite going out of warranty :)
