So it was like a few weeks ago, I was casually letting my laptop run its monthly driver update etc. and i left it running overnight. The next morning, amazingly my laptop couldnt boot up. So i started panicking like a mad dog, plugging the HDD it into 6000 different sys and no luck still. I then search on the web on how to fix my broken hdd but most of them teach me how to fix if the pointer is off but mine seemed fine. I'm literally exhausted rn but i really want my files and pictures back. So guys please help me in any way possible to fix this thing. I'll post a video of my hdd running soon so yea. Your help will be really appreciated. Thank you

*the link for the vid would be https://youtu.be/ujYwZOHKz1s

If that is your HDD, it is now beyond repair. HDDs should NEVER be opened outside of a clean room.

You can send to such a place, or simply write this off as a painful lesson learned. You really have no other viable options.

Alright let's say if this happens again, what should i actually do when my HDD could not be detected.

The first thing to do would be run the manufacturer's diagnostic program for the HDD. All of them make them available. This will help understand the condition of the HDD and will support a return/exchange/RMA of the defective drive if still under warranty.

This incident highlights why you should perform regular backups as well. All drives will fail at some point. Better to be prepared for when that eventuality will occur.
