So, at completely random times, sometimes many times a day, or an hour, my internet on my pc cuts out (lack of a better term) for a few seconds and comes back. This is making it impossible for me to play games, talk to friends, or even just browse the internet. Not sure how to describe it much better than this, but I will try to go as in depth as I can:

I will be playing a game. Overwatch has been what I have been playing recently, and where I sometimes have issues. I will be playing and then all of the sudden I will be kicked from my game and back to the splash screen saying lost connection to servers or something like that. My Battle.net is also out of connection.

My Discord will also, disconnect from the voice server (say disconnected where it usually says my connection info with the green bars. Then Discord will go between trying to connecting to voice, then to where I am reviving other people's voice, but it says no route and my mic can't output.

My Spotify will say I am disconnected from the service, I can't browse online at all, and overall I can't do anything with it.

My hardware, I am using the router/modem combo given to use by our ISP (Time Warner), it is brand new. Within 2 weeks old, we just had it replaced as our old one just completely stopped working. I am using a Gigabit powerline adapter from Netgear, the PL1200. When I am not experiencing this issue, I get my full speed of ~50 down ~5 up.

Modem/Router combo is Ubee, can't check the model atm. There is a pc connected directly through Ethernet and then mine with power line.

I have exactly the same issue as yours. I have the PL1000 model and noticed that I would lose connection when chatting in-games, specially while using Discord to chat... at first I thought it was my internet, until i realized that it was the Powerline adapter being too sensitive to voice. Once I switched to wifi, I would NEVER disconnect...only when playing/chatting while connected through the Powerline Adapter. - Not sure if it's just this brand as I have not tried other brands like TP-Link.

I have tried to contact Netgear about this, but that is worse than pulling teeth...trying to understand a customer service rep from Netgear is incredible....not worth it.
So my suggestion is... either try a different Powerline Adapter...or just play connected through wifi.. problem solved.
