i have a wired connection straight from my router to PC. I had a virus on my computer the other day which is mostly off.
Only problems left are:

  • My chrome keeps using www-searching which keeps coming back.
my "continue where you left off" isnt working
    And
No DNS server adress can be found.
It wasnt working yesterday. it did however work when i turned my computer on today. However has gone back to not working. This is not just chrome as explorer doesnt work either and my steam has been very buggy. My phone and laptop however still work flawlessly.

Solution
You need to completely clean the virus and other possible malware off and then repair the damage done to Windows by the virus.

For a complete cleaning I like to use the free Kaspersky Rescue disk 10, which you can download from HERE and then burn to a CD. You need to burn it to a disk and then boot from the disk and let the program update and then run for all your drives.

The user guide in pdf is HERE.

Then do a Windows repair and run the network troubleshooter.
