Motherboard Pricing Research

I will possibly rebuild my gaming PC next summer. I currently have an ASUS Maximus VI Hero motherboard which cost me around $200 when I built my PC nearly 3 years ago. Right now I would like to get an idea on reliable motherboard models and their likely prices. I am open to suggestions on motherboards ranging from gaming boards down to bare bone boards that can handle the demands of gaming. The price tag that I am looking at for my next PC build is around $2000, but I wish to avoid overkill. This next build will also be meant to last 3-4 years. I do not plan to overclock. I am looking mainly at Intel-based motherboards with the use of either an i5 or i7 CPU, but if AMD Zen looks promising I will ask about AMD-based motherboards later on.

The following is a list of components that I plan to connect to the motherboard:
1. Blu Ray Disc Drive
2. Solid State Drive
3. 2 Hard Drives
4. Video card (Possibly a GTX 1080 or GTX1170 or Radeon equivalents depending on price and availability)
5. WiFi expansion card (built-in motherboard WiFi can be left out but I would still like a built-in Ethernet port)
6. Front mounted USB 3.0 expansion card
7. Rear mounted USB 3.0 expansion card if necessary
8. Four RAM slots.

Thanks in advance.
