I want to buy a GTX 1060 graphic card. I have a G41T-M7 motherboard right now. If I put a GTX 1060 into my motherboard will works? Also, has any damage risks?

Solution
Recommend to buy the gtx1060 over the rx480, review http://www.techspot.com/review/1209-nvidia-geforce-gtx-1060/

When you buy the new MB+CPU now you may or may not need the new OS*, and if you buy the new GPU + the new PSU, and save more money for the new PC ( CPU+MB+RAM+OS), and you can reuse the gtx1060+the new PSU.
The PSU like SeaSonic M12II 520 $55 after MIR http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151093&ignorebbr=1 or the SeaSonic SSR-650RM for $60 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151118&ignorebbr=1

You may buy the gtx1060 ( MSI or ASUS brand) + one good brand PSU, because you don't post what PSU you had. Keep in mind...

Nobody will know until you try it out. It should work in theory, because the pcie3.0 is backward compatible to other pcie2, or x1 format, but if the MB does not have the right BIOS the MB will not recognize the new hardware, the gtx1060.
In other hand your cpu will bottleneck the gtx1060 too. And in case you need the BIOS, check out the ECS site for the BIOS, and make sure you have the the PSU to handle the gtx1060 too.

If you have no immediate plans to upgrade your cpu/mobo, you're wasting money on a 1060. Just get a 750ti or 950 at best.
A 1060 for that system is like putting tires rated at 150 miles per hour on a car that can only go 60.

So, what you guys recommend to me? I have 400$ to spend in a new graphic card. Which combo I buy? I pretend to run The Witcher 3, Mortal Kombat, The Division, Doom and others variations of these kind high graphics game. Also I pretend to run at 1980x1080 resolution. I'm currently with a Core 2 Quad Q6600, 2,4Ghz CPU. What you guys think what are the best way to upgrade my currently PC?

Admirable
I doubt that your current motherboard has a UEFI boot mode, and that it's needed for those GPUs to work. With that budget you can upgrade to a 1151 motherboard and get a 1060.

For $20 bucks more i recommend you to use a 4GB RX480, also make sure that you have a decent PSU.

Isn't the Nvdia card slightly better than AMD's card? I always wanted to know the main reason why people in general prefer the Nvidia's card, even when is more expensive than AMD's card.

Nvidia over clocks better.
Nvidia runs cooler.
Nvidia still has better drivers (AMD has improved a lot but not at Nvidia's level).
Nvidia has greater support from developers.
Nvidia has 80% of the discrete gpu market.

AMD is not bad. Unfortunately they have nothing on the high end this generation at this time. AMD's "high end" usually gets beaten by Nvidia's "mid level".

On the poor man's budget, AMD usually have better offerings. Mid, high and ultra enthusiasts... Nvidia is the only player.

Note: If you use the win10 + win10 anniversary update, and you can reuse the win10 in the new PC. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-3164428/windows-build-1607-activation.html
