Hi all, I am currently writing from my tablet because today when i turned on my laptop (dell inspiron 1564 with windows 7 sp1), many keys would not work.
Such as: z, x, c, v, m, . , , , the right shift, enter, 5, 6, - , +, many function keys such as f1 f2 etc, and on the numpad 5, 6, 8, -.
I tried turning off removing battery etc trick and it did not work... Help please?

Ps. The on-screen keyboard has every key working.

Update: I just opened that baby up, cleaned everything real nice but still nothing

Solution

It sounds like a hardware issue, but it's more difficult to confirm without some cheapie <$10 keyboard on hand.
