Seriously, your choice is between a $150 board and a $390 board?

TBH, your build is a GTX 1060 and a locked i7-6700. You indicate 1 SSD and 2 RAM modules. With this information, you are good with any H170 board. Literally any H170 board. No need for Z170 since you aren't using SLI and can't overclock. That's all Z170 offers over H170: SLI and OC. You need neither so you don't need Z170.

You should be totally fine with this for $108: https://www.amazon.com/Gigabyte-LGA1151-Intel-Motherboard-GA-H170-Gaming/dp/B015CQ8D46/ref=sr_1_13?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1473632986&sr=1-13&keywords=h170&refinements=p_n_feature_six_browse-bin%3A2057506011

And it still has M.2 slots for high speed NVMe SSDs if you decide to do that at some point...

And it still has M.2 slots for high speed NVMe SSDs if you decide to do that at some point. Only thing you might give up with that is USB3.1 Gen 2. If you want that and USB Type C then I'd suggest this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813132575 at $130 before rebate.

ETA: Since you seem concerned with what the difference is, the M9 is overpriced. It has WiFi 802.11ac, Killer brand Gigabit Ethernet, a 122dB 384kHz/32-bit DAC, and has heatsinks on the motherboard that allow you to water cool the entire board. It's a niche product for a niche market and doesn't even include a PLX chip which would let you use x16/x16 GPUs - it clearly shows x8/x8 mode.
