Hi guys

im planing to build a new rig .

i was thinking of having Gigabyte z170 gaming 3 mobo with Gigabyte 1070 g1

after reading some reviews about this mobo that its a bad one , i decided to pick an Asus mobo
like z170-a or pro-gaming

now should i stick with my gigabyte mobo , and if not does this gpu compatable with the asus mobo and give the same performance .

btw im using intel i5-6600k if this help.

Ps. these 3 mobos around my budget level (150$ max).

I would just get the z170a then it will take whatever you throw at it, and later on it will let you get a bit faster clocks, which will help say 3 years from now when the CPU is starting to get old. performance wise there is no difference though.
I mean your current board is definitely not the top boss, but that don't mean you should give it the toss, The asus board supports better OC, but I doubt you really need that even if you were me. You see, the graphics card will work in both and anyone who says otherwise is an oaf. Its your money, but I would keep it for when the sky is less sunny...

In all honesty it will work on both, but I would just keep the current board, it is not worth it to upgrade.

That GPU will be compatible with pretty much any mobo with a PCIe x16 slot which all of those, along with most all modern mobos, have. The GPU will perform the same between different motherboards, you don't need to worry about brand matching parts.
