Greetings
First of all I am not completely sure where this belongs, so my apologies if I posted it the wrong place.
I recently assembled a desktop PC for a friend, which for some reason shuts off randomly. It's a hard shutdown where everything powers down in a second with no BSOD. It seems to only shut down in games, but sometimes it'll run Dragon Age: Inquisition for hours and sometimes it won't run CoD 4: Modern Warfare for 10 mins.
Specs:
MSI B85M-E45 Mobo
MSI GTX 970
120 GB SSD + 1 TB HDD
8 GB Memory
Ocz 600w modxstream pro PSU
Intel Core i5-4590 CPU
The PSU and GPU were parts taken from my own desktop since I upgraded, and they worked like a charm before removal.
The list of what I've tried:
Reinstalled OS
Tried different Memory (from my own, working desktop)
Checked temps (CPU max 57 degrees and GPU max 71 degrees from what I saw)
Plugged all cables out and plugged 'em back in
I fear that it might be the PSU or Mobo, but is there a way to check it? Could it be caused by driver problem or something else entirely?
Thank you in advance. I will post any information necessary if you need it.
