I have a new skylake motherboard the Asus Z1Z0. And I'm currently waiting for my cpu to come in the mail. I have the motherboard in my Corsair 450d with front panel connectors in and the motherboard connector plugged in. When I turn on my psu my power LED comes on but my case won't turn on is it because I don't have a cpu installed?

I'm a noob I'm sorry!

I'm pretty sure you wont be able to access bios, at least you used to not be able to, I don't know with a newer board. You may have a dead mobo though but id wait to get the cpu

The front panel LEDs probably wont flash due to having no cpu to process any drive activity or some sort of led thingy you got there
You cant boot into an OS so no drive activity on the led (if you have the drive activity led)
