Hello guys, hope everyone had a great summer.
I want to sell/upgrade my PC so I need some advice.
The first thing I want to know is how much I would get if I sold my PC entirely
Specs:
i5 3570k (stock cooler)
GTX 970 ssc
Asrock Z77 Xtreme4 Mobo
Evga 600w PSU
NZXT source 210(metal side plate)
8gb Corsair Vengeance Ram

Please let me know how much you guys think I can sell these for.

I've had this PC for almost 3 years. All parts were brand new when I bough them

The reason I'm selling it is because I want to get an all new PC with all brand new and updated stuff.

The PC runs perfectly. Never had an issue with it.

Not trying to sell the PC here on the forum, just trying to get a price for what you guys think it may cost.

And the second thing is if Should I Just Upgrade it?

Thank you.

I always recommend waiting at least three generations before upgrading computer components. Given your processor, there's really nothing wrong with it other than it's older (I can't even say it's old). As for your graphics card, there's no way I'd spend the money to upgrade it.

All together, you might be able to get around $400 as is. If you've really just got that upgrade itch, I'd probably consider keeping most of your current system. Sell the motherboard, CPU, and RAM and upgrade to newer components.

Depends on your budget..

If you've got budget to buy an entire new top-end system, why not?

Just saying, that you won't really see a performance upgrade (in game terms) if you upgrade your CPU.

Then again, nothing beats the new hardware smell.

If I were you, I'd probably upgrade the GPU to something like a 1070/1080 and bump up the RAM to 16Gb.

I'd also get a nice cooler that you can use on a future build when you upgrade, so you can overclock your current CPU.

What do you think my PC would sell for rn? I'm really leaning on to selling it. And I have a budget of about 700-800 (that's after I sell it of course, and if it doesn't sell for that much I can always add the remaining cash to get to 700-800$)

Thanks
