I am looking for a site that sells laptops preferable customize-able ones, I have looked on Dell, newegg, amazon, etc but I cant find any good laptops for a good price.
At that budget, you're not going to get very much beyond the bare minimum laptop. I understand that there are budget limitations, but you need to understand that there are also performance limitations within specific budgets. I mean you cannot expect a Chevy Cavalier to reach 200 mph and still maintain 35 mpg.
Look for the system that has the best processor and the most RAM that is within your budget. Since we're dealing primarily with virtual machines, I'd look for an AMD FX 6xxx multi-core processor and at least 8GB of RAM as your primary concerns.
Like Wolf said, budget and usage is going to be what determines "good". As for a good reseller, if you don't want to customize it, Amazon is one of the best with their customer service, and Best Buy for their in person locations and pricing matching to Amazon. Beyond that its going to be dependent on what exactly you want.
That is going to depend on what you consider a "good laptop" for a "good price". What's your budget and what is your intended usage?

My budget is as close to $500 as I can be but a little over or under is ok, My intended use is java eclipse, at most 2 Virtual Machines for school work (programming class), some word processing and very lite gaming. On-board graphics is fine, I am looking for at-least 6gb of ram but 8gb is better, with a 500gb Hdd but again 1Tb would be best. Processor is something I am not sure about.

The processor speed is a little slow, but you're going to have to give up something somewhere (actually, with your budget, somethings), but that doesn't look like too bad of a deal.
