Does it matter where I plug it in?

For my graphics card (Gigabyte Radeon R9 380X 4GB WINDFORCE 2X Video Card) and my mother board (Gigabyte GA-B150M-DS3H Micro ATX LGA1151 Motherboard), I've already configured my BIOS to where it runs through the PCI Express, but the monitor can only be turned on when I connect the wire to the motherboard. Will my PC still detect the graphics card when it is installed? Or will it just not read it at all?

Solution
Your computer should detect the card, tho you will need to load drivers for it to be properly installed. For that you'll need your monitor connected so you can step through the process.
