Vista 32 - ASUS M3N78 PRO mobo RAID Mode enabled - no arrays created yet
Device manager - nforce Serial ATA controller Properties - ran Port speed test for each of 4 SATA2 drives.

driver version 10.3.0.21 - port speed tests show all 4 SATA II drives running at SATA Gen2 - 300G

updated to Driver pack 15.57
driver version 11.1.0.43 - port speed tests show 3 SATA II drives running at SATA Gen2 - 300G,
and 1 SATAII drive running at SATA Gen1 - 150G

Is this an error in the program or some configuration error somewhere. ANY ideas on this?

nothing is obvious - I have several different OS partitions - in Vista 64, they all say Gen2 - 300. The 4 drives are 2 matched sets, one set being identical WD Black 1T, the other set being identical WD Blue 500G. I have since found out that the Blacks (and probably the Blues, also) are no good for RAID, which explains a lot of the time out errors I used to get, and will be replacing them with RE versions, but this should not reduce the transfer mode. I can try new cables, and see if this makes difference, I suppose. I checked all the drives for any 150G jumpers - no jumpers are present.
