Is a 450W PSU good enough for an RX 480?

Pretty much what the title says. I'm going to be upgrading my CPU and GPU fairly soon, and was wondering if my 450W psu would be enough to power an RX 480 4GB? If not, then I'll probably just get a 1060 for the lower power draw, but I wanted to check first.

Usually up to a 40% overhead is recommended, and with a 450w it'll probably be a little close for comfort imo

No it won't.
An RX 480 and an i5 system won't even draw 300w under load, you'll be perfectly fine.

According to partpicker, it's 398w. That's all I based it on.

TDP is the absolute HIGHEST that it'll ever be pushed to, so essentially the max, yeah.
The Seasonic G is a good unit, no need to worry.

The 1060 actually draws a little more than the RX 480, but both will have plenty of headroom with a 450w PSU.

No problem.

The 1060 is typically better value than the RX 480, and performs 10% better for around the same price.

And I'm still not completely decided on the 480 vs the 1060, but I'll keep your recommendation in mind. If I can find a good deal on a 480, I'll probably get it. Otherwise, I'll probably just go with a 1060 (since it's not much more than the 480).

RX 480 (Reference) = 150W
RX 480 (aftermarket) = 180W
I5 while gaming = 50W
Other crap = 20W

Total = ~220W-250W when gaming
