I just bought a Samsung 750 EVO SSD and put that in my ASUS ROF G751J laptop. I formatted the stock hard drive and did a fresh install of Windows 10 on the SSD from a USB.
The computer works fine and everything but when I open file explorer or download something, there is no option for a D (HDD) drive, only for the C (SSD) drive. In other words, I am unable to use the HDD. However, when I go into Device Manager -> Disk Drive, it recognizes the HDD and when I double-click it it says "this device is working properly" and there is also an option to "disable" it, so apparently it thinks it's enabled.
I assume it may be something in the bios because I had to fiddle with some things to be able to boot via USB for the Windows install. I've spent quite some time searching through the bios for options but there aren't many as far as hard drives are concerned. Mostly boot options. There was a SATA option and it is set to ahci.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thank you very much!
