Is the distance the bigger the better? (for the eyes) I saw on some sites a good distance is about 70cm? WHat if I stay even far away ?

Solution
if the eyes are getting worse over time, I mean like in 30 years or so.
Don´t worry.

If you are still worrying, just go to a doctor and get this explained to you in a professional way.

Especially if you think your eyes are getting worse at the moment.
There are other ways to correct bad eyes like contact lenses

or if your eyes are just dry, there could help some special fluid

Personally I sit about 30-40 cm away. It's comforatble for me, but you probably have to find "your sweetspot" (lol).
As long as you don't get a headache or feel dizzy after watching the monitor for sometime, your distance should be fine.

I see good, I don't need to make the font bigger. I am just SUPER, VERY VERY VERY afraid of damaging my eyes and get glasses 1

well, the older you get, your eyes will get worse
that´s not just depending from your ideally set monitor distance.

more concerning would be mobile phone using several hours a day ;)

don´t excess the time in front of the monitor, if you notice your eyes are getting tired, just pause a little bit and concentrate on other things, so the eyes can focus between different ranges, than just your monitor.
That´s a general thing, even reading books and other stuff
