I have a 750w evga power supply G2 fully modular and I got a gtx 1070 and I have my case open but there's no connectors for a 8/6 pin card. It just have 6/2 pin things. What in the world do I do.... This is my first build and I already just want to chunk it cause it's been more trouble than I think it's worth

the 6+2 is BOTH a 6-pin and an 8-pin

6+2 let the little 2-pin go loose, goes into the 6-pin


for the 8-pin mate the 6+2 together and plug them both into it

Bought an evga GTX 970 SSC and a 750 W PSU heres how i connected it if it can help :

8pin from PSU to the 6+2pin on the side of the card

second 8pin from PSU to the 6+2pin on the other side port of the card

cause only do not gave enuff power hope it helps !

OK for the 6 pin connect the 6+2 pin without the 2pin. For the 8 pin connect the 6+2 pin so that all the pins line up. You should notice a notch on both the 6 pin part and the 2 pin part line those up and it should form an 8 pin connector.
