So I just built a new pc and took my old HDD (1TB WD Blue) out of it onto my new pc. However I had already installed windows on to my new boot drive an 240 GB SSD. Now all the programs do not work and are not even seen as installed on control panel (looking at the uninstall / change page).

The HDD still works as I was able to set the games library on steam (the correct file path) and all my steam games I have installed all work. But none of the other programs or applications work anymore or if they do are rest as if they have been just installed.

Many thanks
Harry.

P.S

My Specs https://gyazo.com/e31c7ea1a5422ba8106a5958d51b1ca3

HDD was updated from Windows 7 to 10. SSD always been Win 10.

Welcome to the TH Community, @UnKnownUK!

Unfortunately, since you have the WD Blue transferred from your old PC rig, I'm afraid those programs and applications won't work, unless you re-install them and re-format the HDD (if needed). Moving the Steam installation is easy, indeed, because the software itself is optimized to be easily moved between rigs and drives. However, most other apps are tied to the OS where they were previously installed. It's highly recommended to backup all important data somewhere off-site and then proceed to re-installing the software on your newly-built rig.

Hope this was helpful. Let me know if you have more questions! :)
