Hi guys,
I'm having a real issue here with my PC. First of all some specs:
Motherboard: Asus Maximus Ranger VII LGA1150
CPU: intel 4790K (no real oc)
Gpu: Nvidia gtx 970 (gigabyte g1 gaming edition)
Ram: HyperX savage 2400mhz 16gb
PSU: Corsair rm650 (gold fully modular)
CPU cooler: enermax 240 radiator
Samsung 840 evo 256gb ssd
1tb WD blue
Case fans: bitfenix spectres
Case: NZXT s340

Okay here's my problem: my computer boots, shows the booting sequence, but at the stage where the login screen would appear, the monitor goes blank, and all usb devices stop working.
Here's what I have tried so far:
Monitor and hdmi cable work (checked with laptop)
Cleaned pc
Checked all cable connections
Reseated ram sticks and swapped
Reseated gpu

I know that there is way more I can do, but rather than waste my time, seeking help would probably be best. In case you didnt know, the gpu does light up and the fans do work, and the mother board lights come on etc. So i dont know where the problem is coming from. I'm going to change the thermal paste on cpu tomorrow. The mobo doesnt have a beep speaker but it does have a display with codes. Sorry for the essay.
Thank you.

Haha wow it's amazing how the only thing I didn't want to do turned out to be right. So, what do you say, could it only be an isolated problem in the ports or something else I don't know, should I try to send it to Gigabyte for repairs (I'll check their policies and warranty). If not, well, here I come gtx 1080!!!

Well, It works now, i just put it back in after removing all other pcie components and it worked. I put everything back together and it works fine. I'll check for bent pins when I renew the thermal paste.
Thanks for your help, I really appreciated it!
