Hi,

I have just tried to add 16GB Dual Channel Kingston HyperX Fury White 1866 to the below build, and when i turn the Pc Back on, the screen is blank.

ASRock 990FX Extreme 3 Mainboard
AMD FX8320 CPU
AMD Radeon R7 370 Series Graphics Card
16GB Dual Channel Kingston HyperX Fury Black 1866 RAM
120gb Kingston HyperX Fury SSD.

Cany understand why my monitor is blank, doesnt even detect after PC boots.

Thanks for your help.

Solution
Start with a single set - go to BIOS and set the DRAM voltage to 1.56 and the CPU/NB voltage to 1.25, save, exit shut down and then try adding the new. There are no guarantees when mixing DRAM and AMD isn't the best platform to try on as they have weaker MCs (memory controllers). If no joy can try lifting the DRAM voltage to 1.6 (perfectly safe) - but if no joy there, would manually set to 1600 10-10-10-27 and try

It worked fine and still works fine now with the original HyperX Black. But when I add the new HyperX White I get the issue. No strange sounds or lights, and I have tried them in opposite slots with no joy. I even tried the new White RAM by itself and it works fine, just won't work together.

Thank you very much for your help buddy. Now have 32gb of RAM running at 1600 10-10-27. Would never have thought about changing the timings. Will it make much difference running at the lower speed?
