So... I was told this website is good. And I need help.

I recently purchased a Lupuss G1 headset. The audio works, but I can't get the mic to record; the all-in-one PC just uses it's built-in mic to record, or when I changed some settings it didn't record anything at all.

I tried using Google to find help, but since the top 10 results in my search were either seller's listings or other headsets, I'm at a loss as to how to make my headset's mic work. I don't want to open a dispute until I know there's a problem with the headset.

If it helps, the computer I'm using is an All-In-One PC, HP with an Intel Inside sticker on the front, and it runs Windows 10. Like I said, the audio works fine, but the mic doesn't record anything.

Can someone please help me?
Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
me~

No, I checked every single time I plugged it in; I definitely plugged the mic jack into the mic plug, and the headset jack into the headset plug.

I even tried recording with the mic with both the headset jacks and mic jacks plugged in at the same time, and with only the mic jack plugged in. It just doesn't come up on the Recording Devices list.

The headset isn't listed on the Playback Devices list either, but I can still hear it through the headphones with the headphones jack plugged in. I'm just hoping I didn't get one with a broken mic.

Tomorrow I'll see if I can borrow someone else's headset to check the plug. Thanks! :)

OK, I couldn't borrow a headset to see if the problem was the computer's microphone jack.
So finally I took my headset to the library and snuck testing it there.

The headset does work after all, although the recording volume sucks.
Anyhoo. Thanks for your time! :)
