Forza 6 Apex running poorly.

When I play Forza 6 Apex on my PC I play with everything standard except the Targeted Settings are Ultra (since I have Dynamic settings on). But I've noticed the game has been stuttering a bit, mostly when I hit other drivers or make sharp turns. But its all around not good. My hardware is as follows; i5 6600 (non K), MSI GTX 1070, 8GB DDR4 RAM.

Run the game, go to task manager, processes and find forza, right click and show details then set the priority to high and go back to the game. For some reason on my PC it never keeps a solid 60fps unless I do this but after I can max all settings at 1080p and that's only with a 1060.

Vsync IS on. The drivers are also up to date.

Do other games give you the performance you expect to see? On a single 970 at 1080p (needs SLI support, 1440p framerates tank in a few areas like Rio) I manage to get a solid 60 with everything maxed out except AA. The game works the hell out of my CPU, in the range of a stress test with 100% usage and average temps in the upper 70's. I would recommend checking your temps and see if it is too high. If that checks out fine, try overriding the Dynamic AA with a 2x setting and see if that improves performance. Check the nvidia control panel and make sure you are not in a power saving mode too.

A 1070 should be able to max this game at 1080p, and handle 1440p quite nicely.

This helped. I did also override the Dynamic AA which helped a lot too. I can now play in 1080p Ultra @ 60fps.
